SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 28, 2025) – The Western New England men's tennis team was defeated by the visiting Hawks of Roger Williams University on Friday afternoon from Forest Park Tennis Courts, falling on a 7-0 decision.

- Roger Williams University: 11-1, 2-0 CNE
How it Happened:
The Golden Bears would not be able to come away with a win in doubles action for the first time in three conference matches, being swept by the Hawks.
Nick Bayer and
Colby Esposito would battle to a 6-3 defeat while
Quinn Northrop and Nilan Jermain as well as
Brandon Greger and
Henry Runyan fell 6-1 in the second doubles and third doubles, respectively.
Those six would battle in the six singles positions but would not be able to come up with a win, dropping all six matches in straight sets.
Nick Bayer would battle in the top spot, dropping a 6-1, 6-1 contest.
Quinn Northrop would be swept in the third singles spot opening set but came back with three points in the second set before falling 6-0, 6-3.
Brandon Greger grabbed four points in the second set of the fourth singles match but eventually fell 6-2, 6-4. The Hawks would continue their winning streak over the Golden Bears, winners in their last seven over the blue and gold.
