Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. (April 12, 2025) – The Western New England men's tennis team would not be able to overcome an early deficit on Saturday afternoon in their 7-0 loss to Colby-Sawyer College, dropping their first-ever meeting in CNE play against the Chargers all-time.
How it Happened:
All three doubles matches would be dropped by the final score of 7-5.
Nick Bayer and
Colby Esposito in the top spot,
Nolan Jermain and
Quinn Northrop in the second doubles, and
Brandon Greger and
Henry Runyan in the third spot would all fall by a final score of 7-5, being even at five-all in the match before the Chargers came up with a 1-0 lead in the match.
Nick Bayer would fight in his singles match before eventually falling 6-4, 5-7, 0-6. The Golden Bears went quietly in the majority of their matches following, not being able to overcome the early run from the Chargers and falling by a final score of 7-0.
