SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 16, 2025) – The Western New England men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph on Wednesday afternoon in Conference of New England action, falling to 2-6 in CNE play this year.

- Western New England: 4-8, 2-6 CNE
- University of Saint Joseph: 10-7, 5-3 CNE
How it Happened:
The Golden Bears would not be able to come away with the first point of the match in doubles action after the Blue Jays came away with wins in all three matches. The third doubles match would be the closest for WNE with
Brandon Greger and
Henry Runyan dropping a 6-4 decision.
Nick Bayer and
Colby Esposito would fall in the top doubles spot while
Nolan Jermain and
Quinn Northrop would also not be able to secure a point for Western New England.
All six of the singles matches would go USJ's way but all six would be competitive.
Nick Bayer would fall 6-3, 6-3 in the top singles match for the Golden Bears.
Quinn Northrop would move up into the second singles spot, falling 6-3, 6-5.
Brandon Greger's third spot singles match would be the closest for WNE but would fall in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 10-3.
Henry Runyan,
Kyle Poccia, and
Eston Fowler would all come up short in their respective singles matches for the blue and gold as Western New England would drop a 7-0 decision to the Blue Jays, falling in an important CNE match.
