How it Happened:

Christopher Tillotson started in goal for the Gulls, with Jonathon Slasbury in goal across from Tillotson for the Golden Bears. The Gulls got started quickly. Thomas Barker won the opening faceoff, and Colt Green would take advantage of that with a first-shot, first-goal. Endicott led 1-0 34 seconds into the contest. Barker won the next faceoff, and again, the Gulls scored on their next shot. Tommy Tyksinki scored, and Endicott led 2-0 less than a minute and a half into the game. The Golden Bears had their first chance after an Endicott turnover. However, Tillotson made a save. Endicott got the ball back and forced Salsbury to make two saves before Tillotson made two more to answer Salsbury's saves. Then, 4:15 into the semifinal matchup, Brody MacDonald scored unassisted. WNE trailed 3-0 and called a timeout to slow the Endicott momentum. However, Tommy Tyksinki would score right after the timeout to extend the Endicott lead to 4-0. The teams traded the ball for around a minute and a half. James Wrynn broke that with Wrynn's 19th goal of the season. Nicholas Campagnone added to the WNE run with a second goal just over a minute later, and WNE cut the Endicott lead to 4-2. Max Rudgers had the assist.  That's when Endicott would score another four consecutive goals to end the first up 8-3. It started with a Manny Marshall goal assisted by Cam Fernandez. Then, after another Barker faceoff win, Nick Graap scored. That brought Braden Civiello into the game for the Golden Bears. Civiello made two saves quickly when Civiello entered the contest. WNE had multiple shots after that, but none of them could find the goal. Then, with under a minute left in the opening quarter. The teams scored three goals combined. Nick Graap scored with thirty seconds left off a Tommy Tyksinski assist. Then, with twelve seconds left, Rex Bruschi scored after a pass from Cam Fernandez. Then, WNE's Logan Jenkins scored with seven seconds left in the quarter. David Noel had one last shot of the quarter, but Tillotson made the save. WNE trailed 8-3 after the first. The first quarter saw Endicott control the stats. Endicott led in shots 16-12, ground balls 18-10, faceoff wins 10-1, and both teams had four saves.

The second quarter saw Endicott get called for an early penalty. However, WNE could not capitalize on the man-up chance. However, none of them found the netting, with the last one hitting the post and deflecting away from the goal. After 4:18 of play in the second, Jacob Roy cut the Endicott lead to 8-4. However, that was the closest the lead would get. Endicott answered with a Guerin Favreau goal 1:09 later. Then, with 2:58 left in the half, Matt Wright received a pass from Nick Graap, and made the score 12-4 with the goal. Endicott would retain possession, and after hitting the post, the Gulls would score again. Nick Graap scored off an assist from Cam Fernandez. Rocco DeSimone won the ensuing faceoff for WNE, but Matt Wright caused a WNE turnover, which led to Cam Fernandez's goal. Endicott led 14-4. Thomas Labbe had the same goal. Labbe scored off a James Wrynn assist twelve seconds into the second half. Endicott would answer. Guerin Favreau scored off a Tommy Tyksinski assist. Jack Houlden would score twenty-three seconds later, though. The teams were trading goals to start the third. Manny Marshall continued that trend with a goal thirty-four seconds after Houlden's goal. The score was 17-6. The teams traded chances for a little while, with Endicott being called for a penalty during that time. Alexander would make a save to deny WNE from capitalizing on the chance. That led to a successful clear attempt and a Colt Green goal with 10:03 left in the third. WNE was called for a penalty shortly after. After the teams went back and forth for a while, Endicott scored two more goals in a row to take a 22-7 lead. Curtis Redd scored first, and Travis Forster scored six seconds later after winning the faceoff and running down to score. The Golden Bears tried to answer, but Alexander was there for the save.
