SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 30, 2025) – Six members of the Western New England women's lacrosse team have earned postseason honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA), being added to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. To add to the postseason awards, the WNE women's lacrosse team also earned the Academic Honor Squad for the eleventh straight year.
The IWLCA honored 1,289 student-athletes from 203 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. Western New England's

Keegan McMahon,
Sydney Miles,
Megan Spedaliere, and
Julia Weinert have earned honors this season. Both McMahon and Spedaliere have now earned this award for a second time in their respective careers.
The Western New England women's lacrosse team also added the IWLCA's Academic Honor Squads to its resume for the 11
th straight season. In total, 376 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA have been honored. To qualify for this prestigious honor, a women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Western New England women's lacrosse is one of eight institutions in the Conference of New England to be honored this season, which includes Endicott College, Gordon College, Johnson & Wales University, Nichols College, Roger Williams University, Suffolk University, and University of New England.
WNE women's lacrosse will be back in action for the Spring 2026 season, with an expected schedule announcement anticipated in January 2026.
