SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 6, 2026) – The Western New England field hockey team is excited to announce a Play4TheCure game on Saturday afternoon when they take on the University of Hartford at Golden Bear Stadium at 1:00 PM. 

Otherwise known as the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game, the Golden Bear field hockey family is looking to raise breast cancer awareness, show our support, and raise funds for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. WNE field hockey plans to use their platform as athletes to support survivors and remember those lost, as cancer affects almost every family in some way, and 100% of these funds support research for all types of cancer.
