SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 23, 2026) – Changes to upcoming Conference of New England (CNE) Basketball Tournament games, as well as the second Western New England men's lacrosse game of the season, have been made due to weather across the New England region. 

Western New England women's basketball, which will enter the Conference of New England Tournament as the No. 3 seed, will host No. 6 Roger Williams University on Wednesday, February 25, at 6:00 PM inside the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. This originally scheduled game was set for Tuesday, February 24, and will now be played one day later, following changes to the CNE Basketball Tournament. The winner of the opening-round game between WNE and Roger Williams will play on Friday, February 27, at No. 2 Endicott College at 5:30 PM. The winner of that CNE semifinal game will play for the CNE Championship on Sunday, March 1, at a time and location to be determined. 

Western New England men's basketball, which will enter the Conference of New England Tournament as the No. 2 seed, will host a CNE Semifinal game on Friday, February 27, at 7:00 PM inside the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. This originally scheduled game was set for Thursday, February 26, and will now be played one day later, following changes to the CNE Basketball Tournament. WNE will face either No. 6 University of New England or No. 3 Suffolk University in the CNE Semifinal round. The winner of that CNE Semifinal game will play for the CNE Championship on Sunday, March 1, at a time and location to be determined. 

The Western New England men's lacrosse team, scheduled to host Keene State College on Tuesday, February 24, at 4:00 PM, has postponed the contest. A makeup date has yet to be announced. The Golden Bears will take the field again on Saturday, February 28, at Golden Bear Stadium, when they welcome MIT at 1:00 PM.
