- Max Rudgers, Thomas Labbe, Logan Proctor, and Cameron Penti all scored goals for WNE during the 4-0 run, which saw the Golden Bears lead 8-4 after the third quarter, and it could have been more if it were not for the team hitting the goalpost a few times.

- The Owls would cut the WNE lead to two early twice in the fourth, but a pair of Logan Proctor goals would extend the WNE lead to three twice, with both goals answering KSC goals. WNE would win 10-7 after 60 minutes and get their first win of the season.

Coach's Corner:
Coach
John Klepacki met with the media after the game. When asked what he thought of today's performance, where the team got their first win of the season, Klepacki stated, "First off, I want to start out by thanking facilities for getting the field ready and administration making sure we could get the game in today, and faculty members for allowing the guys to get to the game and enjoy the experience. I think as a team we learned from our first game, and I think we kept on getting better. It was good to see some young guys gain some more confidence and some older guys put themselves in the right situations. I thought overall, we made a lot of improvement from game one to game two, and we have a lot of improvement to keep happening." Klepacki was also asked about
Logan Proctor's overall performance after Proctor had four goals in the contest. "I think Logan's been doing great. He's just learning the difference of high school to college, and I thought his placement in the second half was great today. He did a really nice job of putting the ball where it needed to be to help us get a little bit of a lead in the second half."
Logan Proctor spoke with the media after coach Klepacki. Proctor was first asked what he thought of the team's bounce-back performance after the previous game. "I think that's a great game by us and a good bounce-back win. I think we have some stuff to work on to get better, but I think overall, it's a good team win, and we're gonna get better as the year goes on," Proctor mentioned. Then, he was asked what it meant to him to score his first four collegiate goals on the Bear and lead his team to a win. "It means a lot to me to get my first four here and especially the first one here, but I couldn't have done it without the guys because they fed me the ball, they gave me it, and then I just capitalized on the opportunities they gave me."
Up Next on the Schedule:
- The Golden Bears will be back inside Golden Bear Stadium for their third consecutive home contest to start the 2026 season. They will host the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
