  • Western New England's next two goals came just 21 seconds apart as Lina Eves netted a goal while a player up, quickly followed by the second of the night from Nish on an assist from Alison Cyr, giving the Golden Bears a 3-0 lead with 7:59 remaining in the quarter. Cyr had WNE's next tally, coming with six minutes to play in the quarter on another assist from Bunnell, extending the WNE lead to four.
  • The Golden Bears finished off the quarter with four more goals, seeing Samantha Montecalvo, Lyndsey Bunnell, and Ella Henry (2) all find twine to give the Golden Bears an 8-0 lead after the opening quarter.
