How it Happened:

The Golden Bears had a different lineup than what was featured in Tuesday's win over Suffolk, seeing multiple first-years and underclassmen get a shot on the courts. Kyle Poccia and Connor Lord earned a sweep over Eric Flynn and Maitreya Abend, earning the 6-0 win. To round out the doubles action, WNE's freshmen duo of Kelvin Ohemeng and Abdou Djermakoye swept Curry's Brady Antaya and Jacob Adler, earning the Blue and Gold the opening point of the match.

In singles action, five of the six matches went just two sets, as the Golden Bears took care of business to come up with the win. Nolan Jermain dropped just one point in the match, winning the second position singles match by a final score of 6-0, 6-1. Joshua Marx was victorious in the fifth singles match, coming up with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jake Perrotte. In the third spot, Kyle Poccia swept the opening set and surrendered just two games in the second set, winning 6-0, 6-2. The sixth singles spot saw Brandon Allen come away with a 6-1, 6-1 victory for the Golden Bears over Jacob Adler. In the top spot, Eston Fowler gutted out a 6-1, 6-4 win over Curry's Eric Flynn. The longest match of the afternoon was featured in the fourth singles spot, where Connor Lord battled Brady Antaya. Curry's Antaya picked up a win in the opening set, defeating Lord, 6-3. Lord bounced back in the second set, claiming a 6-2 victory to force a third set. The third set went the distance,
and then some, seeing Lord pull out a thrilling 13-11 victory over the Colonels, earning his first conference win of the season, pulling out the sweep for the Golden Bears, a 7-0 win.
