Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 16, 2026) – The Western New England women's tennis team was bested in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon at Appleton Tennis Courts at Springfield College, where the Pride defeated the Golden Bears by a final score of 7-0.

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears went down quickly in doubles action as Springfield College opened with the first point of the match. The team of
Emma Miller and
Elise Catlett was defeated 6-1 in the top doubles position.
Lauren Bilodeau and
Malina Dinis fell in straight games in the second doubles spot, dropping a 6-0 match. Yasmine
Giacalone and
Kayla Ledoux's third pairing doubles match went the longest of the three matches, but WNE fell 6-2 in the match, falling behind 1-0 in the match.
The Pride outdueled the Golden Bears in singles action to come away with the sweep victory.
Emma Miller fell to Erica Jud by a score of 6-2, 6-0 in the top singles spot.
Malina Dinis picked up two game victories in the opening set, but dropped a 6-2, 6-1 match to Alyssa Elliott.
Kayla Ledoux had a spirited match in the fifth singles position with Springfield's Elizabeth Houdelette, forcing a tiebreak in the opening set, but dropped a 7-6, 6-4 match as the Golden Bears couldn't overcome the Pride, falling 7-0 in the match overall.
