Jenkins, Roy, And The Golden Bears Roll to 13-6 Road Victory in Final Regular Season Away Contest

MILTON, Mass. (April 18, 2026) – The Golden Bears took on the Colonels in their final regular-season away contest of 2026. They would score seven goals in the first quarter thanks to three from Logan Jenkins and two from Jacob Roy. Those seven goals would lead to six more during the rest of the game, and a 13-6 road victory for the visitors.

How it Happened:
First Quarter:
  • The Colonels earned the game's first goal. It was Nicholas Cole who led the charge for Curry College. However, WNE would roll through the rest of the first with seven consecutive goals. 4:17 into the first, Jacob Roy scored off after a pass from Logan Jenkins. The score was tied 1-1.
  • Max Rudgers then scored just over two minutes later off an assist from Jacob Roy. Two minutes after that, Dylan Nardone scored the third WNE goal. Max Rudgers assisted with the goal. Then, four goals were scored in the final 2:28 for WNE.
  • Logan Jenkins scored first, then Jacob Roy netted a goal. It was followed by Jenkins scoring two more. Jacob Roy assisted the first and fourth of the four goals scored. Proctor and Nardone assisted the second and third goals, respectively. It was 7-1, WNE, after the first quarter.
  • WNE took control of the faceoff spot, winning seven of nine. They also had 14 shots on goal compared to 2 from Curry College.
Second Quarter:
  • Max Rudgers added the eighth goal in a row for WNE to begin the second. Jenkins was credited with the assist. Then, Roy found goal number three of the game. WNE led 9-1 with 6:43 left in the first half.
  • Donovan Mawhinney scored on a man-up chance, assisted by Nicholas Cole, to stifle the WNE run. Jenkins responded with his fourth goal of the game with 2:35 remaining in the second. TJ Dalicandro assisted with the goal.
  • The Colonels would end the first half with the final goal, though. It was Nicholas Cole, who had contributed to each first-half Colonel goal. WNE led 10-3 at halftime. The second quarter was closer in shots, and the Colonels took the lead in shots on goal. Jeffrey Wojtowicz made five saves in the second quarter alone.
Third Quarter:
  • It took 2:40 for WNE to find the first goal of the second half. It was TJ Dalicandro who scored on a man-up chance, and WNE had an 11-3 lead.
  • Niko DeCola and Jeffrey Wojtowicz would trade saves, and the defenses would trade, causing turnovers before the next goal was scored.
  • That next goal was not scored until the fourth quarter. WNE would lead most stat categories in the third. They had more shots (12-3), shots on goal (6-2), ground balls (9-6), and faceoff wins (2-0). Curry College had more saves (5-2).
Fourth Quarter:
  • The fourth saw Chase Beyus enter the goal for WNE. The Colonels would score two goals to start the third. Blake Rothsein and Jed Cappuccino scored the back-to-back goals to give WNE a 11-5 lead with 13:10 left. Nicholas Cole then scored on a man-up chance, and Donovan Mawhinney scored after that. WNE's lead was cut to 11-7. Kai Johnson and Nicholas Cole assisted the two goals, respectively.
  • Matthew Davis then entered goal for WNE. Logan Proctor would score to end the Colonels' run with 8:45 left in the contest. Jenkins would then put an exclamation mark on the win with 3:33 left to end the scoring. WNE won the game 13-6.
  • The final stats saw WNE leading in shots (48-21), shots on goal (32-16), ground balls (35-20), and faceoff wins (19-5). The Colonels had more saves, 19-9.
Inside the Lines:
  • The Golden Bears defeated the Colonels 13-6 on Saturday.
  • Logan Jenkins and Jacob Roy each contributed seven points.
