Box Score DUDLEY, Mass. (April 3, 2026) - Despite coming away with the doubles point on Friday evening, the Western New England men's tennis team fell on the road at Nichols College by a final score of 5-2.
Michel Abizaid Nunez led the team with a win in the top doubles spot and the fifth singles spot.

How it Happened:
In doubles action, the second doubles pairing of
Quinn Northrop and
Eston Fowler fell short, falling 6-2.
Nolan Jermain and
Kyle Poccia combined for a 6-4 victory in the third doubles spot, seeing the all-important doubles point come down to the top doubles pairing. Western New England's
Colby Esposito and
Michel Abizaid Nunez earned the victory in the top spot, taking down Rodolfo Hernandez and Alexander Snitko 7-5, earning Western New England the opening point of the match.
Singles action was not as favorable for the Golden Bears, who saw Nichols rip off three quick wins to take a 3-1 lead in the match.
Nolan Jermain fell in the fourth singles spot to Ezra Raphael,
Kyle Poccia dropped a decision in the sixth singles match to Andrew Emmel, and
Eston Fowler fell to Alexander Snitko in the third singles spot.
Colby Esposito dropped a 6-0, 6-4 in the top singles spot, seeing Nichols secure the win in the match. In the second singles spot,
Quinn Northrop fell 6-2, 6-3, the final victory for the Bison in the match.
Michel Abizaid Nunez came away with a victory, sweeping William Bergendahl in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, earning WNE's only victory in singles play. Western New England would fall 5-2 overall in the match.
