(September 5, 2026) – Adam Elkott scored 1:06 into the second half, and Thomas College held off a late push from Western New England University to secure a 1-0 victory Saturday afternoon at Suprenant Field. The Terriers improved to 1-0-0, while the Golden Bears moved to 0-1-1 on the season.

How It Happened:
First Half
- Western New England created the first quality opportunity of the afternoon when Nick Edward put a shot on goal just 1:25 into the contest, but Thomas goalkeeper Jamie Fischer made the save to keep the match scoreless.
- Thomas gradually found its footing offensively, with David Ivarsson recording a pair of shots during the opening 13 minutes. The Terriers continued to pressure the Golden Bears' defense, but Brendan L'Italien turned aside Thomas' first shot on target in the 34th minute, denying Zayin Clugh.
- WNE generated another opportunity in the 42nd minute when Kareem Awkal put a shot on frame, but Fischer again came up with the save. Neither side could break through before halftime, sending the teams into the intermission tied 0-0.
