2013 (Junior Year):

2012 (Sophomore Year): Won the WNE Cy Young Award as the Golden Bears' top pitcher...All-Commonwealth Coast Conference First Team member who was also voted the conference's Pitcher of the Year...also named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Pitcher of the Year and first-team honoree for the New England region...led the CCC with a 1.79 earned-run average, 10 wins and 85.2 innings pitched--all career highs...also had a personal best with 55 strikeouts for second in the conference...allowed just three hits, struck out a career-high seven batters and didn't issue a walk for his first collegiate shutout in a 6-0 victory at CCC opponent Gordon on April 28, garnering D3baseball.com Team of the Week and WNE Male Athlete of the Week in the process...named to the third team for both New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association Division III and All-D3baseball.com New England...earned a spot on the NCAA Division III New England Regional All-Tournament Team after going 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA, nine strikeouts and a .175 opponents' batting average...ranked 10th in the nation in wins and 31st in ERA...walked only 1.48 batters per 9 innings...strikeout-to-walk ratio was almost 4:1.

2011 (Freshman Year): Used as a reliever who appeared in 15 games...walked only one batter in 21.2 innings of work...strikeout-per-nine-innings was 6.75, a career high.

What I Like Best About WNE: "The tight-knit campus community, as well as accounting and project management classes."

High School: Won three varsity letters apiece in baseball, basketball and soccer at Saint Joseph...captained both baseball and soccer teams...all-state, -conference in baseball...helped those three sports to its respective state tournaments for all four years...graduated in 2010.

Personal: Born Brendan Connor Nugent on Oct. 9, 1991 in Bronxville, N.Y., to parents Janet and Kevin...plays the guitar and enjoys snowboarding...wants to be a Certified Public Accountant after graduation...majoring in accounting.
