Biography

Entering the Season: Earned Dean's List honors during fall semester 2013...one of six seniors on the team...third year in the program...adds experience to the bullpen...

2014 (Junior Year): Earned his first career victory on March 15, defeating Bowdoin in first game of a doubleheader in Lakeland, Fla....he pitched the final two innings in relief versus the Polar Bears, allowing no runs, one hit and a walk with three strikeouts...he also pitched scoreless baseball in three innings against Keene State on March 20, striking out three Owls...career-high 10 appearances.

2013 (Sophomore Year): Appeared in four games, making Golden Bear and season debut on March 17 versus William Paterson at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational he also pitched a three-inning save against the Pioneers...opponents hit only .105 off him.

2012 (Freshman Year): Did not see any action on the field.

What I Like Best About WNE: "The positive atmosphere on campus, family-like environment, and my baseball teammates."

High School: Lettered twice in baseball at Windsor...also received four letters in ice hockey graduated in 2011.

Personal: Born Brian Thomas Mazella on Dec. 17, 1992 in Springfield, Mass. parents are Anne and Shawn siblings are Chris and Matthew...wants to be a collegiate baseball coach and an athletic director after graduation likes to play pond hockey and analyze baseball statistics in his spare time Favorites: movie--Miracle; TV show--Hot Stove (MLB Network); pro team--MLB's Washington Nationals; athlete--James Jones; food--veal parmigiana; musician--Kesha; city--Seattle, Wash....served a summer internship in the University of Hartford Athletics Dept....a sport management major who is minoring in athletic coaching.
