Kevin Johnson  completed his third season as an Assistant Coach for the 2023 season. Johnson played a key role in the development of the team's first-year and sophomore athletes, seeing CJ Willis break the all-time single season home run record as a first year. Johnson and WNE would make it as far as the CCC Championship series in 2022. 

Johnson competed in 105 games for the Golden Bears over his four year career that spanned from 2016-2020. Johnson hit .245 at the plate, while picking up 11 extra base hits and 40 RBIs. Johnson collected 23 stolen bases over his career.
