Shane Bogli was hired as an assistant coach for the WNE Baseball program in the Spring of 2024. Bogli comes to Western New England after enjoying a four-year standout career at nearby Westfield State University (NCAA DIII), where the Vernon, Connecticut native appeared in 31 games, making 27 starts, accumulating a 16-7 record with the Owls.
Bogli tossed five complete games over his career, which spanned from 2018-2022. Bogli threw 161.1 innings for Westfield State, striking out 129 hitters while throwing to a 3.51 ERA.
Bogli used his graduate season to pitch for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he earned a master's degree in physical education / coaching. Bogli pitched in 22 innings for the Riverhawks, striking out 11 batters.
