Western New England University

Elijah Ayers joins the Western New England football coaching staff for his first season as a Defensive Backs Coach in 2024. 

Ayers joins the Golden Bears after enjoying a four-year career at the University of Albanhy. Ayers set career highs for the Great Danes during his sophomore season, picking up five solo tackles and two assisted tackles, totaling seven tackles on the shortened season. The defensive backs specialist played in ten games with Albany over his career. 

Ayers is a Springfield, Massachusetts native and a graduate of Springfield Central High School.
