2016 (Senior Year): NEFC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 3)

2015 (Junior Year): Earned his second straight All-NEFC first team selection after starting all 11 games and recording 32 tackles, three pass breakups and two interceptions…had a pick in the Golden Bears’ 31-0 shutout of Westfield State (9/11)…added another as Western New England rolled to a 35-3 triumph at MIT (10/24)…broke up two passes at Coast Guard (11/7). 

2014 (Sophomore Year): All-New England Football Conference (NEFC) First Team Defense, Secondary, after recording 34 solo (second-best on the team) and 53 total tackles (fifth overall) to pace WNE defensive backs in those categories...started to prepare for his second campaign with the Golden Bears by helping the U.S. Under-19 National Team to a world championship in July in Kuwait City, Kuwait., leading the tournament in pass breakups...

2013 (Freshman Year): Scoutware/D3football.com Team of the Week honoree as cornerback (Nov. 5) after had a career-tying six tackles and his first career interception that led to a touchdown pass play to round out the scoring for the Golden Bears in a come-from-behind 38-27 victory against Curry College. Western New England had spotted the Colonels a 14-0 lead in the second quarter before erupting for 31 straight points en route to the win.

High School: 2013 graduate of Wallkill High School, where he played football and ran indoor and outdoor track all four years... was named football and track captain.

Personal: Born May 25, 1995 to Erika Berrios and Percy Smith…has two siblings, Isis and Issak…Favorites: Movie – Rush Hour; Actor – Paul Walker; Pro Team – Pittsburgh Steelers; Athlete – Patrick Peterson; Food – Apples; Artist – Terrace Martin; City- New York City…majoring in industrial engineering.
