Entering the Season: Three-year letterman...adds depth to the Golden Bears' forward corps...changed uniform number to #28 at the start of 2013-14...has made University's Dean's List every semester.

2013-14 (Junior Year): Played in 20 games...scored one goal and added one assist...one of a school-record 17 WNE players named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast Academic Team, which is his second consecutive citation.

2012-13 (Sophomore Year): Appeared in all 26 of the Golden Bears’ games...had two goals and added five helpers for seven total points, increasing his offensive production from his freshman season Academic All-ECAC Northeast...credited with a game-winning goal over Worcester State, 5-1, on Nov. 6 in the Golden Bears' second outing on the schedule...started the year wearing No. 8 before switching to 21.

2011-12 (Freshman Year): Contributed a goal and two assists in debut season...scored first collegiate point on an assist in a 5-2 win over Johnson & Wales (Nov. 10) to open the Pepperidge Farm Tournament at Worcester State...the Golden Bears won that in-season championship.

Before Western New England: Last club team played for was the Springfield Pics of the Eastern Junior Hockey League...graduated from Newington (Conn.) High School in 2009...played prep baseball, served as a team captain and earned all-conference honors...helped NHS to the state baseball championship as a junior.

Personal: Born Nicholas Peter Diorio on April 3, 1991 in Newington, Conn., to parents Joseph and Maryann...plays the guitar...nickname is Dio...finance major.
