Entering this Season: One-year letterman adds depth to the WNE defensive corps...has made the University's Dean's List every semester.

2012-13 (Freshman Season): One of only two WNE freshman to appear in all 26 games made his mark in his first season wearing a Golden Bears sweater by leading all team rookies in scoring with 17 points, which was fifth among Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast blueliners led ECAC Northeast freshman defenders with 13 assists and 17 points...had his collegiate debut on Nov.  2 against Westfield State in the annual Falcon Cup at the Mass Mutual Center, while earning his first career point with an assist in the same game...made the ECAC Northeast All-Rookie Team coaches tabbed him the team's defensive player of the year...half of his goals came on the power-play.

Before Western New England: Last club team was the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League helped Team Midwest to the 2012 NAHL Top Prospects championship played in Ann Arbor, Mich....graduated from Culver (Ind.) Military Academy in 2010, where he played high school hockey.

Personal: Born William James Preston on Sep. 25, 1991 in Carmel, Ind. parents are Pat and Debbie nickname is Willy...likes to fish majoring in civil engineering.
