Biography

Entering the Season: Returning three-year starter...one of seven seniors on the squad...postseason awards candidate with two All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honors under her belt...

2014 (Junior Year): Postseason accolades included Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic (IWLCA) Honor Roll, second-team All-CCC and academic all-conference... established career highs in fewest goals-against average (9.29), save percentage (.449, 110 saves), victories (16) and winning percentage (.941, 16-1) to rank third, sixth, first and first in the CCC...named the CCC Defensive Player of the Week for April 21 after leading the Golden Bears to a 3-0 week that included a pair of CCC road victories: a 9-7 win at defending conference champion Endicott, where she saved 53.3 percent of the shots on cage and held the Gulls to just two goals in the second half after WNE trailed 5-2 at the break...she compiled a 9.34 GAA, scooped up four ground balls and caused one turnover during that stretch...started in all 18 of WNE's games...posted a season-high 13 saves in a 14-12 win over conference foe Roger Williams on the road on April 9...also notched 31 ground balls for another personal record.

2013 (Sophomore Year): Named to the All-CCC Second-Team after posting a 10-3 record to set a then-career-best for victories and winning percentage (.769)...gave up the third-fewest goals in the CCC and ranked fourth in GAA and fifth in save percentage...started 15 times in 17 games played recovered 22 ground balls...twice notched a season-high 17 saves at Nichols (April 2) and versus Roger Williams (April 10) at home--both victories...won her first four starts while compiling 22 saves...also was academic all-conference.

2012 (Freshman Year): Started in all 18 of the team's games logged 907 minutes in the cage... set a career-best 170 saves...scooped up 18 ground balls.

High School: Played lacrosse and field hockey for Minnechaug Regional captained both squads... graduated in 2011.

Personal: Born Emily Anne Castleman on Oct. 30, 1992 in Springfield, Mass. daughter of Joel Castleman and Wendy Bauer...father coached the Western New England men's lacrosse team from 1986 to 1989 nickname is Castle...siblings are Hali and Max an elementary education major with a minor in psychology.
