2016 (Junior Year): All-CCC Academic Team

2015 (Sophomore Year): Appeared in 16 matches and 32 sets, totaling 27 digs (0.84/set)…turned in seven multi-dig efforts, with her season-high of six coming in a 3-1 loss to Colby (10/24)…also recorded eight aces on the year.

2014 (Freshman Year): Appeared in 17 matches as a freshman, compiling 17 digs and six aces…registered a season-best five digs in a 3-0 victory at Curry (10/8).

High School: Two-year letterwinner at West Valley...made the Valdez Invitational All-Academic Team...helped WVHS to three state tournament appearances from 2011-13...played club volleyball for Arctic Ninjas and Arctic Volleyball...graduated in 2014.

Personal: Born Torie Nicole Howdeshell on July 26, 1996 in Fayetteville, N.C....brother, Ryan, plays on the men's volleyball team at NCAA Division III Daniel Webster College, based in New Hampshire...daughter of Mark Howdeshell and Jo Handinero...enjoys longboarding, shooting sports photography and playing video game "Call of Duty"...works during the summer as a dog groomer at Happy Tails in her hometown...Favorites: movies--42 and Gran Torino; pro team--MLB's St. Louis Cardinals; athlete--David Freese; food--Asian...believed to be the first Alaskan ever to play in the Golden Bears volleyball program...neuroscience major.
