NASHUA, N.H. â€" Western New England College remained undefeated in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with a 5-0 win over Daniel Webster College.
The Golden Bears took a 1-0 lead when sophomore Kofi Oteng (Worcester, M) scored his first goal of the season only five minutes into the match.
WNEC held a 3-0 half-time advantage following goals by junior Mike Schnepp (Feeding Hills, MA) and sophomore Mike Zawislak (Newark, DE).
Senior Pat Danby (Cheshire, CT) and sophomore Robbie Lees (Warwick, NY) (his first of the season) scored in the second half. Sophomore Scott Rogers (Middlefield, CT) had two assists in the second half for his first collegiate points.
The Golden Bears are 10-5-1 overall and 7-0 in the GNAC. This was the ninth shutout of the season for Coach Erin Sullivan's squad. All seven of the team's conference wins have been shutouts.
