SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Sophomore Jen Woishnis (Chicopee, MA) likes playing against Johnson & Wales University.

Her first goal of the season with 1:42 remaining in the first half was the game winner as Western New England College posted a 1-0 victory over JWU in an important Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match.

Sophomore Marissa Sullivan (Halesite, NY) made two saves in recording her fourth shutout of the season.

Last year Woishnis had the wining score in the Golden Bears' 1-0 win over the Wildcats in the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament.

Western New England College evened its record at 7-7-1 and moved into fourth place in the conference with a 4-2-1 mark. Johnson & Wales is fifth with a 5-3 record.
