SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Sophomore Allison Jameson (Brattleboro, VT) scored two goals and had an assist as Western New England College opened its home season with a 4-2 win over Smith College.

Junior Alyssa Katz (Cortlandt Manor, NY) and sophomore Stephanie Gildart (Portland, ME) each added a goal and assist for the Golden Bears who improved their record to 2-3.

WNEC led 2-1 at intermission before breaking the game open with a pair of goals in a six-minute span early in the second half.
