SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Western New England College had its lowest scoring game of the season in dropping a 57-46 decision to visiting Emerson College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game.

The Golden Bears shot a season low 34.7% from the field in losing for the third time in their last four outings.

Western New England College received a double double performance from sophomore forward Jim Bayne (Bristol, CT) who had 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Junior guard Jon Godbout (Bristol, CT) also contributed 12 points (10 in the second half) for the Golden Bears who suffered their first home loss in four games.

Emerson senior forward Graham Stephen (Bedford, MA) scored a game high 15 points to lead four players in double figures. He had 12 of his points on four three-pointers in the first half as the Lions roared to a 31-23 half-time advantage.

Emerson improves its record to 6-4 and 4-1 in the GNAC; Western New England College falls to 7-6 and 4-3.
