SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Heading into the final two weeks of the regular season, Western New England College appears to be peaking at the right time to defend its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship.

Junior Tim Larocca (East Longmeadow, MA) scored twice in the first half as No. 23 Western New England College coasted to a 5-0 win over visiting Daniel Webster in a conference men's soccer match Saturday during "Senior Day" at Suprenant Field.

The Golden Bears tallied three times after intermission on goals by junior Kofi Oteng (Worcester, MA) (his first of the season), freshman Brian Dill (Portland, CT), and senior Kyle Lindsay (Cumberland, RI).

Freshman Anthony Appezzato (Scotch Plains, NJ) contributed two assists while senior Paul Russo (Dix Hills, NY) had an another assist.

Western New England College is 13-1 after winning its eighth consecutive contest. Coach Erin Sullivan's squad remains undefeated in the GNAC with a 6-0 mark.
