NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Freshman running back Jordan Capitanio (Torrington, CT) ran for a game high 114 yards on 25 carries (4.6 avg.), but Western new England College couldn't managed a touchdown for the first time this season in dropping a 17-3 decision at UMass-Dartmouth Saturday in a New England Football Conference (NEFC) Boyd Division contest.

This was the third straight week that Capitanio has rushed for over 100 yards.

UMass-Dartmouth led 7-0 after the first period before freshman James Farrell (East Longmeadow, MA) kicked a 25-yard field goal at the 12:52 mark of the second quarter. The Corsairs led 14-3 at half-time and scored their points on a field goal in the final period.

Sophomore Kevin Miculcy (Greenwich, CT) caught six passes for 55 yards while senior linebacker Brett Hanson (Gilbertville, MA) had an interception for Western New England College.

The Golden Bears fall to 2-5 and 1-3 in the Boyd Division while the Corsairs are now 3-5 and 3-2.
