That was certainly the case Tuesday when the Golden Bears held off an upset bid by the Falcons to post a 2-0 victory in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest.
Junior David Arcari (Burlington, CT) scored his first collegiate goal on an assist from classmate Evan Heymann (Ipswich, MA) in the 26th minute to give Western New England College a 1-0 lead at half-time
The match remained close until junior Tim Larocca (East Longmeadow, MA) netted his third goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 87th minute.
The win was the sixth straight for the Golden Bears who are now 11-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the GNAC.

Junior Chris Wilk (Derry, NH) had two saves in the shutout for the home team while freshman goalkeeper Chris Vasquez (Nashua, NH) stopped six shots for the visiting Falcons (5-4-1, 2-2 GNAC).
