Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. - Ten players scored goals as Western New England College defeated Worcester State College 22-9 in a New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) game Thursday. The victory broke a mild two-game losing streak for the Golden Bears who remain undefeated in the league with a 5-0 mark.
Sophomore Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) led the balanced attack with six goals and two assists while junior Alyson Nowell (Feeding Hills, MA) added three goals and two assists. Freshman Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) contributed three goals. Senior Sarah Cunningham (LaGrangeville, NY) had two goals and an assist while sophomore Jessica Vogel (Tonawanda, NY) also tallied twice.
Senior Kristin Pimental (Tiverton, RI) became the seventh player in school history to pass the 100-point mark in career scoring after compiling two goals with two assists. She now has 103 points.
Western New England College (7-6) hosts Smith College at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (April 23) at Golden Bear Stadium.
