Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Sophomore Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) scored six goals with an assist and freshman Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) had five goals and two assists as Western New England College recovered from a slow start to post a 22-5 victory over Worcester State College in a semifinal round game of the 2005 New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) Tournament Thursday.
The Golden Bears (10-6) held a slim 8-5 lead at half-time before scoring 14 unanswered goals in the second half.
Junior Alyson Nowell (Feeding Hills, MA) added four goals and an assist while senior Kristen Pimental (Tiverton, RI) contributed three goals.
Sophomore Ann Clark (Worcester, MA) had four goals and an assist for the Lancers (3-11).
Western New England College, the top seed and defending NEWLA champion, will host second-seeded Elms College at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (April 30) in the championship game of the NEWLA Tournament. The winner receives an automatic invitation to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
