Western New England College uses strong three-point shooting to down Daniel Webster

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Western New England College hit the century mark for the first time this season and tied the school record for three-pointers with 16 in cruising to a 107-51 victory Wednesday night over Daniel Webster College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's basketball contest.

Sophomore guard Ryan Hernandez (Hampton Bays, NY) led five players scoring in double figures with 19 points while senior forward Sterling Scanlon (West Hartford, CT) and junior center Deon Thomas (Albany, NY) each added 12 points.

Freshman guard Keith Roy (Granby, MA) chipped in with a career high 11 points while freshman guard Matt Maynard (Paterson, NJ) had 10 points along with a career and game high eight rebounds.

Western New England College drained 16-of-25 three-point attempts (64.0%) to tie the mark set this past Monday in a win over Albertus Magnus.

All 14 players scored points as the Golden Bears (10-9, 7-4 GNAC) went over the .500 mark for the first time since winning their season opener.

Graduate student forward Kenny Ouellette (Windham, NH) led the winless Eagles (0-18, 0-11) with 15 points.
