SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's lacrosse team managed to score only one goal in the first half as visiting Eastern Connecticut rolled to an easy 14-4 victory in a non league contest Thursday at Golden Bear Stadium.

The Golden Bears fell behind early and trailed 7-1 at intermission. After Western New England College scored the first goal of the second half, the Warriors tallied five unanswered goals and coasted to their first victory in six games.

Senior Alyson Nowell (Feeding Hills, MA), juniors Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) and Jess Vogel (Tonawanda, NY), and sophomore  Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) scored the goals for the Golden Bears.

Western New England College (2-3) visits Lasell Saturday (April 1) in its New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) opener.
