Box Score NORTON, Mass. - Sophomore Brian Dill (Portland, CT) fired home the winning shot with 1:02 remaining in double overtime as Western New England College upset No. 6 Wheaton College in a non-league men's soccer match Tuesday (Sept. 12) at Keefe Field.
Seniors Michael Zawislak (Newark, DE) and Tim Larocca (East Longmeadow, MA) had the assists as WNEC avenged a 2-0 loss to Wheaton last year at Suprenant Field. The Golden Bears also handed the Lyons their first overtime home loss covering 13 matches since 1997.
Wheaton, ranked first in New England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), falls to 4-1, while the Golden Bears, ranked fourth in the region, improve to 3-0-1.

Western New England College had a couple of good scoring opportunities in the opening half, but senior goalkeeper Matt Pachniuk (Newtown, CT) came up with two huge saves off point-blank shots from senior Evan Heymann (Ipswich, MA) and junior Mike Stewart (Springfield, MA).
ÂÂ
Wheaton's best chance to score came with seven minutes left in regulation chance when a header by sophomore Dan Lane (Dedham, MA) ricocheted off the crossbar.
WNEC senior goalie Chris Wilk (Derry, NH) stopped a shot by Lane in the first overtime and another by sophomore Justin Hart (Ashland, MA) with 5:30 left in the second extra session.
Zawislak set up the winning shot when he took a pass from Larocca and dumped in a short cross from the right end line. Dill came charging in toward the short side of the net and poked it past Pachniuk for his first goal of the season and third of his career.
Last year Dill also had the game winner over nationally ranked Williams.
