LUDLOW, Mass. – Junior Dan Hare (Staatsburg, NY) scored the game-winner in the 11th minute as the Western New England College men's soccer team posted a 3-0 victory over visiting Nichols College Thursday night (Oct.11) at Lusitanio Stadium.

Juniors Dale Totman (Conway, MA) and Casey Schick (Glen Rock, NJ) added insurance goals in the second half as the Golden Bears raised their record to 8-4-2 and 6-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Before the game there was a moment of silence for former Golden Bears' player and soldier Jason Lantieri '04, a member of the Army's 25th Infantry Division who was killed in Baghdad, Iraq on Wednesday.

Sophomore goalkeeper Clayton Johnson (Williamstown, MA) made five saves for Nichols. The Bison are now 3-10-1 and 1-8-1 in the conference.
