HENNIKER, N.H. – Freshman Heather Mortell (Webster, MA) netted the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute as the Western New England College women's soccer team remained undefeated in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with a 1-0 victory Saturday afternoon (Oct. 6) over New England College.

Coach Ron Dias' squad improves its record to 10-2-1 overall and 7-0-1 in TCCC. The Golden Bears are 8-0-1 in their last nine outings.

Mortell, a forward, leads Western New England College with eight goals and has five-game winning shots to her credit.

The Golden Bears held a 19-2 shot advantage over the Pilgrims who fall to 5-5-2 and 3-5-1 in the conference.
