SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Western New England College women's lacrosse team ran its winning streak to nine games with a 19-12 victory over visiting Smith College Thursday afternoon (April 19).

Junior Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) led the Golden Bears (10-3) with six goals and an assist while senior Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) had three goals and four assists. Sophomore Lindsey Fenton (Amherst, MA) also tallied three times.

Junior Emilie Donka (White River Junction, VT) had 11 saves in her first varsity at goalie after replacing the injured Brie Sylvia in the lineup.

Smith received five goals from junior Sara Smyth (Brooklyn, NY) while sophomore Blair Rapalyea (Prides Crossings, MA) and freshman Rebecca Capute (Easton, MD) each scored two goals. The Pioneers are now 4-8.
