SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) tallied four goals and had five assists to lead Western New England College to an easy 23-2 victory over visiting Elms College in a New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) contest Tuesday afternoon (April 3).

The win was the third straight for the Golden Bears (4-3) who went over the .500 mark for the first time this season while remaining unbeaten in the conference (2-0).

Junior Kaitlin Zangle (Wingdale, NY) contributed two goals and two assists while junior Julianna Mulroy (Wellesley, MA) scored twice and dished out an assist. Senior Jess Vogel (Tonawanda, NY), junior Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT), sophomore Stacey Fredrickson (Manchester, CT), and freshman Cougar Moynihan (South Glastonbury, CT) each netted a pair of goals.

Senior Arrin Brewer (Dalton, MA), and sophomores Ashley Richard (South Hadley, MA) and Molly Chamberlain (New Britain, CT) had compiled their first goals of the season.

Junior Caitlin Childs (Hingham, MA) scored both goals for the Blazers (0-2) who were playing their conference opener. Junior Catherine Thresher (West Suffield, CT) had an assist.
