QUINCY, Mass. – With its freshmen leading the way, the Western New England College women's soccer team remained undefeated in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) with an easy 6-0 victory over host Eastern Nazarene College Saturday (Sept. 15).

Freshman Shannon Pescatello (Wethersfield, CT) scored twice in the rain as the Golden Bears improved their record to 5-2 (3-0 TCCC) following their third consecutive win.

Freshman Alicia D'Ambra (Farmington, CT) added a goal and assist while senior Danielle Matte (Nashua, NH) contributed two assists.

Junior Kelley MacDonald (Fairlee, VT), and freshmen Heather Mortell (Webster, MA) and Taryn Lagasse (South Glastonbury, CT) also scored goals. It was the third consecutive match that Mortell has netted a goal and the first collegiate goal for Lagasse.

Freshman Heather Boino (Dalton, MA) chipped-in with an assist while sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Covino (Bristol, CT) made two saves.

Western New England College led 2-0 at halftime before Pescatello tallied both her goals in the opening five minutes of the second half to break the match wide open.

Eastern Nazarene falls to 0-5-1 and 0-3-1 in TCCC.
