BIDDEFORD, Me. – Junior Tony Rosa (Ludlow, MA) and freshman Kienan Garn (Lake Huntington, NY) each netted goals in the final 24 minutes to lead the visiting Western New England College men's soccer team to a well-earned 2-0 victory over pesky University of New England in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) match Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Bears improved to 6-1-2 and remained unbeaten in the conference with a 4-0 mark.

After a scoreless first half, Rosa knocked home the game-winner off the right post with an assist from senior Matt Sullivan (Springfield, MA) in the 66th minute.

Garn then added his first collegiate goal with 45 second left with assists from senior Ben Wells (Morrisville, VT) and junior Brian Dill (Portland, CT).

Western New England College had a decisive 14-2 advantage in shots with senior goalkeeper Steve Hennessey (Essex Junction, VT) having to make only one save in gaining his third shutout of the season.

UNE goalie Derek Poulin (Scarborough, ME) stopped nine shots as the Nor'easters fell to 1-5 and 0-3 in TCCC.
