BRISTOL, R.I. - Freshman Laurin Pendleton (Southwick, MA) tallied the game-winner in the 46th minute as the Roger Williams women's soccer team ran its winning streak to seven games with a 1-0 victory over visiting Western New England College Saturday afternoon (Oct. 11).

The Hawks are now 10-2 overall and second in The Commonwealth Coast Confeernce (TCCC) with an 8-1 mark.

After a scoreless opening half, Pendleton was able to hit the winning shot 28 seconds into the second stanza with an assist from junior Carey Baldwin (West Hartford, CT).

Junior goalkeeper Jen Garside (Londonderry, NH) compiled six saves while junior Jessica Covino (Bristol, CT) stopped five shots for the Golden Bears.

Both teams finished with 13 shots and five corner kicks.

This was the fifth one-goal loss of the season for Western New England College who slips to 3-10 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
