SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Winning every match in straight sets for the second straight day, the Western New England College women's tennis team rolled to an easy 9-0 win over visiting Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in a non-league match Wenesday afternoon (Sept. 24).

The Golden Bears now have a 3-4 record after compiling their third consecutive victory.

Junior Kristen Ayers (Acton, MA) led the way with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.

Freshman Christina Barbarisi (Feeding Hills, MA) raised her record to 4-2 with a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 4 singles.

Picking up their first college wins were junior Victoria Pratt (Stanfordville, NY) and sophomore Amanda Ide (Hamden, CT) at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles flights, respectively.

Former Jonathan Law High School (Connecticut) teammates, junior Colleen Swan (Milford, CT) and freshman Lori Pagliano (Milford, CT) posted an 8-5 win at the No. 3 doubles position.

The Trailblazers fall to 1-5.
