SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Kyle Bak (Cumberland, RI) compiled seven saves for his six shutout of the season as the Western New England College men's soccer team battled to a scoreless tie against Salve Regina on Saturday (Oct. 3) at Suprenant Field during Homecoming Weekend.

Both teams are tied for fourth place in The Commonwealth Coast Conference with a 3-2-1 record.

It was a solid all-around defensive effort on both sides in a very evenly matched contest.

Salve Regina (5-4) edged Western New England College 16-15 in shots and 8-5 in corner kicks.

Senior goalie Kurt Ginthwain (Tolland, CT) finished with three saves for the Seahawks while he picked up his fourth shutout of the season.
