Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore attacker Claire Halliday (Trenton, NJ) netted six goals and junior attacker Kasey Beckwith (Franklin, CT) scored five as visiting Roger Williams defeated the Western New England College women's lacrosse team 17-7 on Tuesday (March 31) in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) action.
The Golden Bears (3-4), who suffered their first league loss in three outings, were playing only their second home game since a 17-9 win over Mount Holyoke on March 7.
Freshman midfielder
Katie Toomy (Northborough, MA) scored two goals to help Western New England College take a 3-1 lead at the 16:56 mark of the first half.
The Hawks (5-2, 2-1 TCCC) answered with five consecutive goals (including two by Halliday) and went into halftime with a 6-4 advantage.
The second half was all Roger Williams as they tallied 11 goals, including four straight in a 4:32 span, for a 14-5 margin with 8:29 remaining in the contest.

Jeanmarie Barbato (Huntington Station, NY) also contributed two goals apiece for the Golden Bears.
