Box Score MILTON, Mass. - Sophmore Suzie Jensen (Framingham, MA) scored both goals to lead the unbeaten Curry women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over visiting Western New England College Saturday evening (Sept. 12) in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Opener for both squads.

After a scoreless first half, Jensen netted the first goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 66th minute and added the game-winner in the 77th minute.

WNEC avoided the shutout when junior Heather Mortell (Webster, MA) tallied her second goal of the season with 1:35 remaining in the contest.

The Golden Bears had a 19-10 advantage in shots, but couldn't convert scoring opportunities as freshman goalkeeper Samantha Hardy (Pepperell, MA) compiled 13 saves for the hosts.

Senior Jessica Covino (Bristol, CT) stopped six hots for the Golden Bears.

Curry improves ts record to 4-0-1 while Western New England College falls to 1-3.
