NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team defeated Western New England College 3-1 in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) match on Tuesday evening (Oct. 19). The game scores were 25-18, 22-25, 25-23, and 25-16.

The Chargers improve to 15-10 overall and 6-2 in TCCC play. The Golden Bears fall to 8-15 with a 4-3 mark in conference.

Senior outside hitter Michelle Doody (Franklin, MA) led Colby-Sawyer with 25 kills and 14 digs.

Freshman libero Ally Le-Bruno (Medfield, MA) had a team-high 25 digs, while junior Kristin Sawyer (Walpole, MA) had a match best 42 assists.

Western New England College senior outside hitter Samantha Shomo (Glen Gardner, NJ) compiled a match-high 26 digs.

Junior middle blocker Inna Sergeychik (West Springfield, MA) and freshman outside hitter Maureen Pollet (Dix Hills, NY) each contributed 10 kills.

Western New England College returns to action on Friday (Oct. 22) at 7:30 p.m. against Babson at the Wesleyan Tournament in Middletown, Connecticut.
