SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - It was a successful Homecoming for the Western New England College women's tennis team who posted a 9-0 victory over Eastern Nazarene Saturday afternoon (Oct. 2).

The Golden Bears improved their record to 4-6 overall and 4-5 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Coach Jenn Kolins' squad dropped only four points the entire match in recording their third league shutout of the season.

Juniors Christina Barbarisi (Feeding Hills, MA) and Caitlin Hughes (Springfield, MA) each gained their seventh singles victory of the season at the number two and three positions, respectively.

The Lions fall to 1-12 overall and 1-8 in the league.
