HENNIKER, N.H. - The top-seeded New England College field hockey team scored all of its goals in a 6:23 span in the second half for a 3-1 victory over fourth-seeded Western New England College in a semifinal round game of The Commonwealth Coast Conferenc (TCCC) Championship Wednesday (Nov. 3).
The Pilgrims (11-9), who also beat WNEC 3-1 in their regular season meeting, will face third-seeded University of New England (a 2-1 winner over second-seeded Nichols) in the championship game on Saturday (Nov. 6).
The Golden Bears gave the hosts all they could handle taking a 1-0 lead when senior
Aimee O'Connell (Rome, NY) scored her sixth goal of the season just 11:46 into the contest.
New England College regrouped after intermission tying the game when senior
Marissa Ayotte (Feeding Hills, MA) scored at the 44:09 mark. It was her 23rd goal of the season.

Samantha Escobar (Rumney, NH) netted what proved to be the game-winner with her 20th goal of the year 3:12 later with an assist from sophomore
Rachel Carnaroll (Bellingham, MA). Senior
Emily Kuchtka (Norwalk, CT) added an insurance goal at 50:32 to complete the scoring.

Jesse Kilcullen (North Salem, NY) compiled eight saves for the hosts while sophomore
Kaityln Hall (Pawtucket, RI)
stopped three shots for the Golden Bears.
Western New England College, which had won its five previous outings, finishes its season with a 10-11 record.
